Note from the Cultural Center: a restoration of the instrument is planned shortly
The Maestro, Member of the Jury of Edition XXI - 2014, being interested in the luthier Postacchini after his previous presence in the Jury in 2007, looked for and had the opportunity to buy in London a valuable violin (accompanied by a 1984 certificate by the London company John & Arthur Beare, proving that the violin is an authentic instrument of the luthier from Fermo "Andrea Postacchini" built around the years 1830/1840, has not undergone restorations and is well preserved in all its originality) which he brought with him to Fermo with the double purpose of making the public admire it and listen to its sound 180 years later from his birth. The instrument was exhibited in the Aquila Theater Foyer for the whole length of the 21st Edition and the winner of Category - B Sophie WANG (14 years old from Taiwan), chosen by the owner, played the violin at the Aquila Theater in the "Award Ceremony and Concert of the Winners" on May 30th, 2014.

The display of this page demonstrates the will to present the best of the place to the world and its logo shown on this site, together with that of its Banca Carifermo SpA, is a recognition of the excellent luthier from Fermo and a further active impulse towards “Andrea Postacchini” International Violin Competition.
